Basement Remodel

In this project, a serious obstacle was presented by a structural steel beam running the length of the room and dropping down to a height of just over six feet. We designed a solution that turned the problem into an asset, dividing the total space into two areas. One area was carpeted and houses a side-slung Murphy bed with custom built-ins. The second area contains storage with a play/work area for the grandkids and durable cork flooring. A very comfortable bathroom completes this area, and now the basement comfortably meets all the needs of any guest who may arrive.
